What can I say I've always heard wonderful things about Thousand Acre Farm. From how beautiful it is as a rustic barn wedding venue, the grounds and skies for sunset photos, but also the hospitality and service they provide. Shannon was amazing to work with from the very beginning. Once we connected she made sure that we had a timeline for Abby and Chandlers wedding day. Upon arrival to set-up, she gave the team a quick rundown of the grounds and how things were going to go; from the getting ready to locations to where everyone will enter the reception and everything in-between. Shannon runs a tight ship at Thousand Acre Farm. She is not only talented, but very helpful with any questions we had on how to make this wedding day a success for Abby + Chandler.
The day began with Chandler and the guys playing corn hole. Once they finished getting ready, it was back to more corn hole before the ceremony. Abby got ready upstairs with all her girls in the Thousand Acre Farm "Babe Cave". Fun and jokes were had while she got ready. Obligatory photos in cute pajamas with her girls, then a first look with her girls once she put her dress on, next it was off to the sunflower field for her first look with Dad! He was full of emotions when he seen Abby for the first time in her wedding dress.
Abby + Chandler said their " I Do's" in front of their closest family and friends with a marvelous sky on Thousand Acre Farm's beautiful grounds. Fun fact: it was actually supposed to rain the entire weekend. As with every wedding, we track the weather and make sure we are well prepared. If the sky was going to be gray, we would create the sun with flash. If it rained, then we would go outside and take some epic rain shots. At Shutter & Snap, we are always prepared and strive to create timeless & romantic images for you on your wedding day. During cocktail hour we took family photos, then went out for dreamy bridal portraits. We actually had three different bridal portrait sessions. Once cocktail hour was over we had the entrances and special dances, the sky as Thousand Acre Farm gave us a wonderful sunset! So we went out and took more sunset photos. After that, Abby did some cute cigar photos with her girls, then we did even more bridal portraits. Complete with the Thousand Acre Farm Cider Barn and the white gazebo in the dark.
