The White House Resort | Wilmington Delaware Engagement Photos
Brianna and Justin met way back in 2010. They were each others "first love". Brianna and Justin were very young and ended up going separate ways like many of us when we find that "first love". Interestingly enough, back in 2019 they rekindled and went to a bar and they knew from that point on they were meant to be together. From that moment, they've been inseparable. During Brianna and Justin's Wilmington engagement session at White House Resort, we also recorded a highlight film alongside SanJor Photography(so be sure to check back!) We asked if they wanted to have audio put into their highlight film, to our surprise they opted out of the audio portion. Brianna and Justin are a very candid and fun couple often poking fun at one another. They admitted they couldn't be serious at all not even for their Wilmington engagement photos and I couldn't agree more. This was one of our most fun engagement sessions to date.
Being a Delaware wedding photographer, I love the details. Justin proposed to Brianna in 2020. With the arrival of their daughter, Brianna and Justin put planning the wedding on hold. After having a son as well and both of the younger children being older they are very excited to plan their dream wedding day! Brianna is a stay at home mom while Justin started his own painting business Modern Image Painting back in 2019. Brianna is very proud of him and all that he has accomplished. She said he really needed the encouragement to get the business booming, and she's always been his number one fan and biggest supporter. Brianna really pushed Justin to take his painting business to the next level. She seen his drive, and knew he had an entrepreneurial spirit, and his work really spoke for itself. Before they knew it, the business was exploding from word of mouth as he had many customers who were blown away by his quality of work. Brianna tries to help him where she can, however the children keep her quite busy. She's always there to help give him the confidence boost he needs through encouragement & praise. Justin also has another business called Modern Property Ventures.. In their downtime they like to spend time with their children at home, and on the swing-set. They're also a very active family where they do all activities with the children such as museums, aquariums, the zoo, walks and trips. One of their favorite things to do as a family is camping. They enjoy going to different campgrounds with their camper, spending their weekends exploring, swimming and bonfires. When not with the children, they love to do a Netflix and chill date, or if they go out to eat they usually go to Vincentes Italian Restaurant as that's their favorite place to go.
Lauren has known Brianna for quite some time and is helping Brianna plan her wedding as she's a wedding planner as well. Brianna has been keeping us both updated on everything for the wedding and it's been exciting planning with Brianna & Justin. Since Lauren and I are Delaware wedding photographers, Brianna asked us to check out the venue called "White House Resort" in Wilmington, Delaware. She drove by and noticed it was a new Delaware wedding venue! We looked it up and found the grounds to be absolutely stunning.. We had planned to have Brianna and Justin's engagement photos taken at The Goodstay Gardens, however after speaking with the owner, she allowed us to take Brianna & Justin's Wilmington engagement photos on the grounds at White House Resort.
White House Resort is located on Newport Gap Pike in Wilmington, Delaware and used to be a bed and breakfast for many years. The owner bought the property back in 2000 and has been renovating since. She was amazed and intrigued by the history of the property and knew she had to turn it into a Delaware wedding venue and event space. From the gorgeous hardscaped brick, to the fountain(that wasn't currently in use), the long walk way to the bottom of the property with a gazebo and small lake with a fountain it as well, White House Resort definitely has some beautiful spaces nestled throughout the property that would be stunning for your Delaware wedding photographer, or for your Wilmington engagement photos. On site, White House Resort has a ceremony space, a intimate indoor space for cocktail hour and reception, getting ready space for bridal party of the bride and groom, and a large event space outside as well. White House Resort can accommodate comfortably weddings with 75 guests, however I think that up to 100 guests would be doable as well.
Brianna + Justin were full of laughs throughout their Wilmington engagement photo session. We utilized most of the property for all the photo-ops! Once we were about finished at White House Resort, we waited for the sun to drop so we could get some creative engagement photos for our couple and for the venue.
